Family Advocacy Program
The Monthly Family Advocacy Program is for families who are done riding the crisis roller coaster and want steady, ongoing support with California disability systems. Instead of scrambling before every IEP, Regional Center meeting, or IHSS assessment, you have a consistent partner in your corner month after month.
We start by clarifying your child's current services, school placement, safety needs, and long-term goals. From there, we build a living roadmap that connects the dots between IEP goals, behavior plans, Regional Center supports, the Self-Determination Program, and IHSS or Protective Supervision, so everything is working toward the same vision-not pulling in different directions.
Each month, you receive scheduled strategy calls to prepare for upcoming meetings, review new evaluations, and plan how to respond to school or agency decisions. Between calls, you can send messages for quick questions, document feedback, or help decoding confusing letters. I review key documents-draft IEPs, IPPs, behavior intervention plans, denial letters-and suggest concrete edits, requests, or appeal points.
We also work on your advocacy skills: how to take meeting notes, what phrases to use when you disagree, how to document safety concerns for IHSS, and how to track data that backs up your requests. Over time, you build a binder (digital or paper) and a rhythm that makes renewals, reassessments, and transitions far less overwhelming.
This program is especially helpful for families juggling multiple systems at once, or those preparing to move into SDP and needing support with Person-Centered Planning and budget conversations. With the Monthly Family Advocacy Program, you are no longer navigating IEPs, Regional Center, and IHSS alone-you have experienced guidance helping you protect your child's rights, access funding, and create more stability for your whole family.
